The Center for Graduate Studies

Our goal is to ensure your academic success as a graduate student. We offer a variety of online and face-to-face services to graduate students. Need help with that paper? This is the place!

Grizzly Testing and Learning Center:

Located on the second floor of Nielsen Library

During hours of operation, upper level students can be scheduled to work with students on a weekly basis. Student appointments are dedicated to providing assistance in understanding course concepts, developing study skills, and networking with peers.

Assistance is offered in a variety of courses for the following departments:

    • Art
    • Business
    • History, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, Spanish
    • Human Performance & Physical Education
    • Music
    • Nursing
    • Psychology
    • Sociology
    • Theatre

    Math Lab:

    Located on the second floor of Porter Hall in Room 245

    During hours of operation, upper level students majoring in Mathematics are available to provide drop-in services. Students can ask questions or gain assistance with homework in a variety of Mathematics courses. 

    STEM Center:

    Located on the third floor of Porter Hall in Room 319

    During hours of operation, upper level students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics can be scheduled to work with students on a weekly basis. Student appointments are dedicated to providing assistance in understanding course concepts, developing study skills, and networking with peers.

    Assistance is offered in a variety of courses for the following departments:

    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Computer Science
    • Earth Science
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    The STEM Center also provides laptops and graphing calculators for check-out during hours of operation.  

    Writing Studio:

    Located on the second floor of McDaniel Hall in Room 220

    During hours of operation, upper level students who are proficient in writing can be scheduled to work with students on an appointment or drop-in basis. Student sessions are dedicated to providing support at any point in the writing process.

    Assistance is provided for various assignments:

      • Course based written assignments
      • Resumes
      • Cover letters
      • Philosophy statements
