The role of the tutor is to provide supplemental support for the student and hold students responsible for their own learning.
Mission
The Grizzly Testing and Learning Center is dedicated to fostering student success by providing testing services and peer tutoring in a low stress environment in an accessible and welcoming space.
Students will be supported academically in developing reading, writing and mathematical skills, in addition to other course specific content. This support will acknowledge and value the diverse learners represented at Adams State College.
The Center also supports student success by providing placement testing for all entering students and testing services for students with disabilities.
The diverse academic testing and tutoring needs of Adams State College students will be met by providing opportunities for students to develop specific learning skills, assisting students in accessing appropriate support services, and facilitating self-advocacy and independent learning.
