Action Plan
Based on the results of the assessments, an action plan is developed for each student. The action plan includes goals for each semester as well as a list of services and activities each student will participate in for the semester.
Expectations
Students in SSS are required to participate to continue in the program. We have a variety of services and activities available for student participation. Students may also qualify for a scholarship. Below are scholarship requirements:
Freshmen Minimum Scholarship Requirements
- Complete assigned assessments
- Complete AAA course
- Complete 2 academic counseling sessions per semester
- Complete 1 career counseling session per semester
- Attend your SSS class meeting and the annual SSS combined meeting
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA
Sophomore Minimum Scholarship Requirements
- Complete 1 academic counseling session per semester
- Complete 1 career counseling session per semester
- Participate in tutoring or 3 workshops
- Attend your SSS class meeting and the annual SSS combined meeting
- Register for leadership training
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
Junior Minimum Scholarship Requirements
- Complete leadership training
- Complete one follow-up counseling session each semester
- Participate in 2 workshops or complete leadership/service activity
- Attend either class or SSS combined meeting
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
Senior Minimum Scholarship Requirements
- Complete career counseling session
- Complete an exit interview session
- Attend either class or SSS combined meeting
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
Leadership/service activities include: serving as an SSS resident assistant, tutor, mentor, participating in service learning, or completing leadership training.
