Eligibility Requirements

Students are eligible for TRiO Student Support Services at Adams State College if they meet at least ONE of the following qualifications:

  • First-Generation College Student -- Neither parent (or guardian) completed a four-year college degree before your 18th birthday.
  • Low-Income – You qualify under federal financial guidelines (similar to Pell Grant eligibility).
  • You have a documented physical or learning disability.

Step 1:

Step 2:

  • Submit your completed SSS application and a copy of your most recent 1040's to our office.

Step 3:

  • Meet with an SSS Academic Counselor to learn whether or not you're eligible for the Program.
  • If eligible, complete your final paperwork and learn about your role as a new member of the family.
  • If not eligible, learn how you can help us as a peer tutor or peer mentor. We can also refer you to an Academic Advisor at the One-Stop.
