Title V - Adams State College

Adams State College (ASC), located in Alamosa, Colorado, was the first four-year college in Colorado to attain HIS status. Founded in 1921, Adams State College has evolved from a normal school focused on teacher preparation into one that enrolls 2,200 students and offers 35 programs leading to degrees in arts and science, in professional and pre-professional areas, as well as teacher and counselor education.

ASC is accredited by the North Central Association and the National Association of Colleges for Accreditation of Teacher Education. The College's Latino enrollment is approximately 27 percent.
