Karen Melgares received a standing ovation for 40 years of service at the annual Adams State University Employee Recognition Luncheon.

Students in this on-campus program will graduate with skills in crisis communication, strategic communication, promotional strategies, and can enter the job market in a variety of professional industries.
The piece, “To Give You Form and Breath” a world premiere by Inti Figgis-Vizueta, was commissioned by the Adams State Percussion Studio.
During his presentation entitled SPEAK (Standing Proud for Equality and Knowledge), Speaks will discuss themes presented in the movie “The Hate U Give,” including intersectionality, colorism, inclusivity and how to confront difficult issues that surround the San Luis Valley and the Hispanic culture.
