Art Student for a Day!

Choosing the right art program and university for you is important - come spend a day with us and find out all about Art at ASU

Who?

Who should participate? Any high school junior or senior or students transferring from community colleges who are interested in learning more about art at Adams State; whether you are thinking about majoring in art, minoring in art, or just want to continue to be involved in art after high school. Even if you are not sure of your college plans, this is an excellent chance to get a taste of campus life at ASU!

What?

You will be paired with one of our art students and shadow them as they move throughout their day. You will attend classes in your area of interest (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, ceramics, graphic design, jewelry) and tour all the art studios. You will meet with faculty and have the opportunity to get feedback on your portfolio.

You will also take a campus tour, meet with the art department chair, admissions and financial aid staff, and enjoy lunch in our dining hall. Students are welcome to bring a parent or guardian and experience a typical day in the life of an art student. Our “Art Student for a Day” program is the perfect way to get to know the Adams State art department community and discover the opportunities that are available to you here.

Where?

Once you register, you will receive a personalized itinerary. We will meet you in the lobby of the art building to begin your day as an art major.

When?

You are welcome to visit at any time, we only ask that you call ahead to pre-register so that we can be sure to design an itinerary that is appropriate to your interests. To set up your personalized “Art Student for a Day” visit, call the Art Department at 719-587-7823 or email at:
