Goal 1. Foundations of Scientific Knowledge

The Earth Sciences Program at ASU provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes core disciplinary knowledge and integration of current scientific knowledge

Student Learning Outcomes:

Students who graduate with an Earth Science degree will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of core patterns and principles of the earth science
  • Integrate and apply knowledge across scientific disciplines
  • Incorporate contemporary research into existing conceptual framework

The Earth Sciences Program at ASU expects students to behave and communicate in a professional manner (confident, competent, respectful, and civil) in all situations.

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written scientific communication
