David Wreford is currently Instructor of Developmental English. His main areas of teaching include English Composition, the Rhetorical Modes, Argumentative Essays, and Developmental Reading and Writing.

He has taught in higher education for the past ten years. He joined the faculty at Adams State in January 2006.

Mr. Wreford spent 28 years serving in the United States Army, beginning in July 1973, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2001.

He holds an MA in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the University of Michigan. Mr. Wreford published more than 200 columns in the Valley Courier, the newspaper of the San Luis Valley, winning the First Place Award for Humorous Column Writing in 2007 from the Colorado Press Association.

Mr. Wreford has published articles in literary anthologies and the campus newspaper.
