B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies

Customize your degree with an Interdisciplinary Studies Major. The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies is designed to allow students whose academic and professional interests do not fit an existing major to devise, in consultation with an advisor, a major that encompasses two or more disciplines.

A Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies can be customized in the three following ways:

  1. Individualized Program of Study – students must design a degree program that intentionally combines coursework from two different disciplines. Credit requirements include: 31 General Education credit hours, 40 credit hours in the Interdisciplinary Studies Major (20 credits each from two academic disciplines), and 42 credit hours in elective courses for a total of 120 credit hours for the BA Degree.
  2. Food Studies
