Do I have to apply to Adams State University in order to receive graduate credit for my PBS course?
No. Simply register to receive ASU graduate credit at the appropriate time.
How do I register for ASU graduate credit?
This is a two-step process:
STEP I - Enroll with PBS
You must initially register for the PBS course(s) of your choice directly with PBS Teacherline. Information about enrolling in a PBS course can be found at:
STEP II - Register with ASU for Graduate Credit
Upon enrollment in the PBS course(s) of your choice, you are ready to register for ASU graduate credit once the course begins. You will have until the last day of the course to initiate this process, however we do not recommend waiting that long. The links to register for ASU graduate credit will be embedded in your course and should be accessible when you log in. Follow the prompts in the online registration form.
NOTE: It is extremely important that you provide ASU with the same email address used to enroll with PBS. Failure to do so could hinder receipt of your final grade by ASU and result in a delay of the release of your transcript.
What is the total cost to take a PBS course and receive ASU graduate credit?
Cost will vary depending on the price of your PBS course and the ASU credit available. PBS enrollment fees vary by course; click on the “details” link for any PBS course to find out the fees for that particular course. The cost for ASU graduate credit is $79 per credit hour and is offered based on the following equivalencies:
- 15-hour PBS TeacherLine course = 1 credit hour = $79 for ASU graduate credit
- 30-hour PBS TeacherLine course = 2 credit hours = $158 for ASU graduate credit
- 45-hour PBS TeacherLine course = 3 credit hours = $237 for ASU graduate credit
