- Official high school transcript (First-time freshmen) OR Official college transcripts (Transfers)
- Official transcript translation and credential evaluation.

When should international applicants turn in applications for admission and other required documents?

What are your minimum TOEFL requirements?
Adams State University requires a 550 on the paper-based, a 213 on the computer-based, or a 79 on the internet-based exam.
What is a credential evaluation and are their recommended agencies?
International students are required to have their transcripts translated into English AND evaluated by an authorized agency. Authorized agencies are:

When Do I Need to Apply for My Student Visa?

Are international students eligible for financial loans or scholarships?
Freshmen international students with an 80 admissions index or higher and transfer international students with a 2.0 GPA or higher will receive the Experience Colorado Scholarship, valued at $5,000 per year and renewable for all four years at Adams State University. International students may also apply for private scholarships offered through the Adams State University Foundation and/or other private agencies.

How much funding is required to meet the requirement for financial support?
International students must provide financial certification showing the availability of approximately $29,495 US or the equivalent in another currency. Affidavit of Support, recent bank statements, and/or scholarship awards are acceptable.
Can international students work on campus?
International students on an F-1 student VISA are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week in an on-campus job. However, keep in mind that many work-study positions are only available for 10-12 hours per week. Work-study positions are not guaranteed and students must apply for individual positions.
When will I receive my I-20?
An international student will receive his/her I-20 following the completion of the admissions process and after formal acceptance to Adams State University. If you have questions regarding your I-20, you should direct those questions to the Principal Designated School Official:
