Current Scholarship Offers
Freshmen and transfer international students who are admitted to Adams State University unconditionally will receive the Experience Colorado Scholarship, valued at $5,000 per year, renewable for all four years at Adams State University. For this award, undergraduate international students will have to maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to keep on receiving the scholarship each year. International students may also apply for private scholarships offered through the Adams State University Foundation and/or other private agencies.

Work Study & Optional Practical Training
International students on an F-1 student VISA are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week in an on-campus job. Typically, an international student can earn approximately $5,000 per year based upon $9.30 per hour pay rate. However, keep in mind that many work-study positions are only available for 10-12 hours per week. Work-study positions are not guaranteed and students must apply for individual positions.
Optional Practical Training (OPT) - Students will also have the possibility to work for one-year in the USA after they graduate in their related course of study if approved by SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program). ASU will assist international students with the application process in this regard.
How much funding is required to meet the requirement for financial support?
International students must provide financial certification showing the availability of approximately $32,768 US or the equivalent in another currency. Affidavit of Support (I-134), recent bank statements, and/or scholarship awards are acceptable. This amount is adjusted yearly with the evaluation of tuition and fees.
