Learn About ClioWeb

What is ClioWeb?
ClioWeb is our interlibrary loan (ILL) system. It allows students and faculty to submit, track, and download interlibrary loans. It is different than Prospector, which allows students and faculty to order books and other physical items themselves. Please try Prospector to find a book, DVD, or CD before using ClioWeb.

How do I login to ClioWeb?
Log into ClioWeb using your Adams State username and password. For example jonesjk05@grizzlies.adams.edu would log in as jonesjk05. Community members will need to request an account for access.

What happens the first time I login to ClioWeb?
If you have never used ClioWeb before you will be asked to fill in some personal information, such as address and email. You will only have to do this once; when you log in again this information will be saved under your profile.

How do I request an article?
There are two ways to request an article. One is to find the “Click Here for ILL Request” link under an individual record in the database. This will produce a prefilled form; simply select "yes" to agree to the copyright statement and then press "submit". You can also go directly to ClioWeb, click "New Article Request", and enter in the information yourself. You will be emailed instructions on how to download your article when it arrives. You can check the status of your request at any time by clicking on "View Your Requests."

How do I request a book?
If the book you want is not available in our Library catalog or through Prospector you can use ClioWeb to request it. To request a book, log in to ClioWeb and click on the "New Book Request" link. Be sure to enter data in all the required fields and then press submit. You will be emailed when your item arrives. You can check the status of your request at any time by clicking on "View Your Requests."

How do I view my requests?
You can view the status of your requests at any time. Simply log into ClioWeb and click on "View Your Requests". All downloadable articles will be kept here one month after the request is received.

How many requests can I make?
You can make as many requests as you like, but please note that there are restrictions to how many items we may be able to obtain for you.

What happens after I submit my request?
After you submit your request we will make every effort to find your article or book and deliver it to you in a timely manner.

When will my materials arrive?
Articles often take less than 24 hours on weekdays; books can take 1 to 4 weeks as they arrive through library mail. In the event that we are unable to obtain your item we will notify you via email.

How will I be notified?
You will be notified about your ILL through the email provided on your account.
