Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Adams State Percussion Spectacular

A crowd favorite, the Adams State Percussion Spectacular starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, in the Richardson Hall Auditorium.

The program ranges from the ASC Percussion Ensemble performing works by Sejourne, Gillingham, Naranjo, and paying tribute to the veterans of World War II with the moving composition, Normandy Beach-1944. The Rocky Mountain Pan Handlers Steel Drum Band and the SLV Community Steel Drum Band will play traditional island favorites, as well as tunes by Dave Matthews and Van Morrison. Be prepared to take your shot at the pinata while to the steel drums put you in the mood for Cinco de Mayo.
