Teacher education professors share international experience


The Adams State College Faculty Lecture, "Cross Cultural Professional Development: Lessons from the Philippines," by Dr. Anicia Alvarez and Dr. Sheryl Ludwig, assistant professors of teacher education, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in Porter Hall (the science building) room 130.

What do Adams State and teachers of Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines share, Dr. Anicia Alvarez and her love of teaching. This presentation shares the story of Adams State teacher education faculty offering cross cultural and professional development to more than 2,500 Philippine teachers in July, 2011. Across borders, cultures, and languages, teachers speak a language of the heart. Come to see the story unfold and hear the heartfelt lessons learned from this international experience.
