Dr. Reginaldo Garcia included in Talk Straight Healthcare forum
Dr. Reginaldo G. Garcia will bring another perspective to Adams State University "Talk Straight-Healthcare Forum" forum on Saturday, April 13. Garcia, a clinical psychologist, will address the prevention and health promotion, along with care cost reduction in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The free forum begins at 1 p.m. in Adams State McDaniel Hall, room 101.
Garcia works with the Rocky Mountain Prevention Research Center (RMPRC) at its Alamosa office as a researcher and program director and with the Colorado Clinical Translational Sciences Institute as a San Luis Valley community liaison. He earned his doctoral degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, and is licensed in Colorado and Alabama and is a member of the American Psychological Association. Both organizations Garcia works for are part of the University of Colorado Denver – Anschutz Medical Center and are funded principally by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the Colorado Heart Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and the U. Colorado Denver.
