Free writer's workshop and creative writers senior reading is May 2

Special guest, Mary Crockett Hill will offer a free writers workshop from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on fiction and poetry, preceding the Adams State College Creative Writers Senior Reading, at 8 p.m. Monday, May 2, in the Luther Bean Museum.

Hill, a visiting instructor of English at Roanoke College, author of "A Theory of Everything" (poetry), received the 2008 Autumn House Poetry Award. She wrote "If You Return Home with Food" (poetry); and "A Town by the Name of Salem" (history) with co-author John Long. She was a 1997 Yale Series for Younger Poets Finalist and 1998 Bluestem Poetry Award recipient.
