Finding employment for Adams State students just became easier

Searching for a career is now more efficient for Adams State College students. The Counseling and Career Center has implemented a new student/employer networking site this year. The site is accessible on the web at Once on the site, students can click on "Search Careers" in the right navigation bar and prospective employers can click on "Hire an ASC Student."

Gregg Elliott said the tool is "much more powerful" than the previous website source. "It allows students to register, create a student profile, post resumes and cover letters, respond to jobs that are posted on the site, and search the employer database for employers the student might want to pursue for a career post-graduation," he said.

According to Elliott, the site also has internships, part-time jobs, and summer jobs posted. Employers can similarly create an employer profile, post open positions, and search the student database for students the company would like to recruit. "There is a calendar of career events within the system, which we will use to promote activities related to recruiting and the career center," he said.

The Counseling and Career Center has scheduled the 2009 Career Fair for March 2 and the 2009 Teacher Education Fair for April 7 in the Student Union Building.
