When terrible lizards roamed Colorado

Take a trip back in time and learn about Colorado dinosaurs at the next Adams State College free faculty lecture. Lyle Carbutt, adjunct professor of earth science, lecture, "Colorado's Dinosaurs and Mesozoic History", begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in Porter Hall (the science building) room 130.

The Mesozoic is well known for the many dinosaurs that populated the Earth. But what dinosaurs inhabited Colorado, and what did Colorado look like? What was the environment like? This talk will answer these questions and more. We will discover what traces these animals left behind, as well as what role the various dinosaurs had in the ancient ecosystems they inhabited.

All talks are free and the public is invited. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered. For further information on the series of lectures, contact Dr. Robert Astalos, assistant professor of physics, at 719-587-7821, or by email: rjastalos@adams.edu.
