Installation art currently on exhibit in Cloyde Snook Gallery

The installation by Susan Li O'Connor, "Global Village" is currently on exhibit in the Adams State College Cloyde Snook Gallery. The exhibit continues through March 29. An artist lecture is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 with an opening reception to follow, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

O'Connor was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Her work deals with the accumulation of everyday objects and the transformation of them into sculptural forms and installations. While the transformation of the mundane is the first thing a viewer sees, O'Connor is also entertaining ideas of identity, consumerism and consumption within our culture. She is an adjunct faculty member at the Columbus College of Art and Design in the Foundation Studies Department.

Concurrently, in the Hatfield Gallery, "Caught in the Act," a student themed show is on exhibit. For more information call the Adams State Art Department at 719-587-7823.
