Adams State hosts Spring Career Fair
The Adams State College Office of Career Services will host a Spring Career Fair for students and alumni. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in the Student Union Building Banquet Rooms.
Career Services Coordinator Brian Rauscher organized the event. He said it is an opportunity for students to learn from employers, receive information about future jobs and internships, and learn about a wide range of organizations and industries.
Over 30 local, regional, and national employers are anticipated to participate in the event. Rauscher said the employers will be currently hiring for a wide range of jobs and internships in the San Luis Valley, as well as regional and national positions. Attendees are encourages to wear professional attire and bring copies of their resumes.
Workshops, for current Adams State students and alumni, on how to prepare for the career fair will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24 and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Nielsen Library room 315. Contact the Office of Career Services for assistance in writing and revising resumes or any other career-related questions.
Employers should have current internships, part-time jobs, or full-time entry level positions available. The registration fee is $40 for the Spring Career Fair.
