ASU welcomes community to "Tunnel of Oppression"

The "Tunnel of Oppression" will again be presented by the Adams State University Office of Housing & Residence Life, Thursday, March 6. There will be two showings in Carson Auditorium, ASU Student Union Building, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Both presentations will be followed by a multifaceted debriefing process in the Student Life Center. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The Tunnel of Oppression engages participants by presenting challenging topics and relevant information through vignettes that depict instances of oppression in a way that resonates with Adams State's campus community. The objective is to empower participants as advocates for social justice.

This year's "Tunnel of Oppression" topics include:

  • Body Image
  • Race, Poverty & Homelessness
  • LGBTQ+
  • Mental Health
  • Religion
  • Bullying
  • Learning Disabilities
