ASC Community Partnerships hosts weaving exhibit

The 3rd Annual "Weavers from the Valley" exhibit, featuring local artists, opens Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the Adams State College Community Partnerships community gallery and continues through Friday, August 28. The gallery, located on the corner of Main St. and Edgemont Blvd., is hosting an artists' reception from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20.

The show celebrates cultural diversity and a variety of weaving styles including Rio Grande, tapestry, wearable, and mixed media. Featured weavers include Carlos Atencio, San Luis; Jacque Hart, Kay Laws, Mary Anne Malberg, Mary Hoffman, Perla Kopeloff, Alamosa; the Troyer family, Margy Robertson, Wanda Couzens-Smith, Monte Vista; and Joyce Pardington, Antonito.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
