ASC hosts chile and salsa cook-off


The smell of roasted chile can make your mouth water, and there are many great chile chefs in our valley. Celebrating the bountiful harvest of the San Luis Valley, Adams State College is hosting the fourth annual chile cook-off on September 17 as part of the Eight Annual Autumn@Adams. This year, submit either your green and/or red chile and/or salsa.

Contestant fee is $10 and cash prizes will be awarded to the top cooks and a cash price will go to the "best table." Chile and salsa will be judged by the general public, who will pay $3 to receive a ballot. Cups, spoons, napkins, chips, and electricity will be provided.
