Do You Have a Book in You?


San Luis Valley author Wayne Sheldrake, with support from ASC Community Partnerships, is offering a writing workshop titled "Do You Have a Book in You?: Three Secrets Authors Don't Tell." The two-hour workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon Saturday, June 14, in the Adams State School of Business Building room 142.

Writers of all ages and abilities are invited to attend. Topics of discussion will include the daily habits and core attitudes of successful writers, the protocols for submitting book proposals to agents and editors, and how to win professional referrals from established authors.

Sheldrake is a two-time Adams State graduate and a former Adams State adjunct professor. He received his MFA from Antioch University/LA. His first memoir "Instant Karma: the Heart and Soul of a Ski Bum" won the 2007 Adventure Book of the Year Gold Medal from Foreward Magazine.
