Hoffman serves on DOL national grant review panel

Mary Hoffman, Executive Director of Adams State College's Community Partnerships, was recently selected to serve on a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) national grant review panel. Hoffman is one of sixteen panelists nationwide that was asked to review grant proposals for DOL's National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP). The Farmworker Jobs Program is authorized under section 167 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). WIA generally requires DOL to conduct a general grants competition every two years to select NFJP grantees. Hoffman deliberated with fellow panelists after review of proposals for a total of $78,410,000, allocated among state service delivery areas.

The National Farmworker Jobs Program is a nationally-directed, locally-administered program of job training and employment assistance for migrants and seasonal farm workers and their dependents. Hoffman was previously employed by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics as a Senior Economist. She worked in San Francisco and Denver in that capacity.
