ASC Focus the Nation - Climate Change Symposium
DVD Now Available
In January, Adams State College joined hundreds of other colleges across the United States in "Focus the Nation," an event that addressed both local and national environmental issues. Presentations on natural resources, sustainability, and a variety of other environmental concerns were held in Adams State's own Carson Auditorium. The presenters included Adams State professors and members of local environmental groups. Presentations covered critical environmental topics such as potential natural gas drilling, solar energy, and measuring sustainability in the San Luis Valley, as well as how national environmental issues affect us locally. This event also included an in-depth panel discussion on climate change from a water supply prospective.
ASC Community Partnerships filmed and edited the Focus the Nation presentations, and a DVD is now available. It contains 1 hour and 48 minutes of highlights from throughout the eight-hour event, and is available for only $15.00 (or $10 each when ordering 3+).
