Robot Challenge scheduled for Sand Dunes

Sponsored by Adams State College and NASA, the Fifth Annual Colorado Robot Challenge, at the Great Sand Dunes National Park, includes university and college students from Colorado and Utah. The event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 2, northeast of the lower dunes parking lot.

The goal is the development of small autonomous rovers capable of traveling on harsh, difficult terrain. The rovers will be tested on four courses. During the event, people are encouraged to visit with the teams and learn more about their approach to solving this challenging problem.
