Composition Festival is April 1 and April 2


Students compose in the music computer lab.

Music compositions by guest composer Jenni Brandon, Matthew Schildt, and students are included in the Adams State College Music Department Composition Festival April 1 and April 2.

Brandon, a prolific composer, is widely commissioned with compositions published by Boosey and Hawkes. She will present several talks and masterclasses throughout the festival.

The concert featuring student composers begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, in Leon Memorial Concert Hall and will include student composers and film scores by the students in the computer music class. This concert is free.

The festival finale is a concert of music by Brandon and Schildt, assistant professor of music, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Leon Memorial Concert Hall. The concert will include compositions by Brandon and Schildt with performances by Adams State faculty and students. This concert is $5 to the public, $1 for students, and free to ASAF.
