McCaulley's thesis work reflects her personal perception of aerial landscape through a series of acrylic low-relief paintings on wood. Her paintings explore the contemporary art ideas behind aerial landscape and mapping, throughout history and in present day. "When people are able to perceive the world from above, they are able to further become aware of the earth and its many fascinating surfaces," McCaulley said.
