SLV Symphony will perform December 7

The San Luis Valley Symphony will present its Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 7, in Leon Memorial Hall on the Adams State University campus. Under the direction of Dr. William Lipke, the program will feature popular holiday favorites including J. S. Bach's beautiful Sinfonia and Chorale from the "Christmas Oratorio" and selections from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's beloved "Nutcracker" ballet.

Additional selections include Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," Copland's Variations on a Shaker Tune and the monumental Symphony No. 104, "London," by Franz Josef Haydn. "These are timeless classics that are sure to delight the whole family," Lipke said.

The SLV Symphony is composed of professional musicians, ASU faculty members and students, and community members. Tickets will be available in advance in the Music Department Office or at the door.
