Alumni Literature Night features three authors


Alumni Literature Night at the Adams State University Nielsen Library will feature three authors discussing their writing and publication experiences. Free and open to the public, the event will be held Friday, Nov. 7 from 5-7 p.m. on the second floor of the Nielsen Library, First St. The event is a collaboration between the ASU Office of Alumni Relations and Neilsen Library. Copies of the authors' latest works will be available for sale and signing, and refreshments will be provided.

Frankie Colton, ASU Class of 1979, and her husband, Dr. Terry Colton, will speak about the challenges of running a small publishing house in the San Luis Valley. Frankie is CEO of Alacrity House Publishing LLC.

Ruth Koenig ASU Class of 1992, will discuss her fictional book about the rodeo, Sunflower and Tequila.

Phil Ray Jack, ASU Class of 1988, will speak about his books, The Spirit of the Horse and Other Works and Soar High. He is an adjunct English instructor at Adams State and a reporter and columnist with the Valley Courier.
