Adams State green chile cook-off a tasty success

Justin Atencio received first place for the 2008 Autumn@Adams green chile cook-off; Jennifer Stewart took second place; and Adams State College employee, Cheryl Ruybal, received third place, at the cook-off on September 20 held on the Richardson Hall front lawn.

There was a total of 13 contestants and over 100 ballots were counted. The week's events included a free concert; a diversity of speakers on agriculture; food, music, art and poetry.

The 2008 Autumn@Adams theme, "Our Earth-Our Valley/Tierra Nuestra-Nuestro Valle" was dedicated to honoring and promoting the agricultural heritage of sustainable rural living in the San Luis Valley through inspiration and education.
