The piano master classes are scheduled from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in Richardson Hall Auditorium and from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Nov. 3. Repertoire will include music by Bach, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, and other composers.

Participation in the master classes will include Adams State piano students and is open to high school students by audition. An additional piano master class with Dr. William Lipke, professor of piano at Adams State College, will be held on Saturday, November 6. Participation is open to pre-college students.

A Strings Fest Concert will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in Richardson Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. The concert will include student, community and faculty musicians performing music by Bach, Telemann and other composers. Joy Plesner, Adams State string instructor, will assist with string coaching that morning.

Later in November, there will also be a Steinway Piano Construction tour of a cut-a-way model Steinway piano and a lecture on the history of Steinway pianos. For more information about the master classes or the concert, please contact Dr. William Lipke at walipke@adams.edu, or 719-587-7701.
