Wall Crawlers registration is Monday and Tuesday

climbing wall with climbers

Registration for the Adams State University Wall Crawlers will be between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6; or between 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Rex Activity Center.

This will be the first semester of Wall Crawlers at the new climbing wall. The program is about getting children and youth exposure to the vertical world, but has been revamped to include more intentional and engaging lessons, educational activities, and the opportunity to practice their learned skills at the wall outside of Wall Crawlers.

Each night will be capped at 12 participants, to ensure appropriate student-instructor time and ratios. Also, in addition to the Wall Crawlers program fee, each parent or child must possess the appropriate, current Climbing Wall Membership. This will allow the participants to climb whenever the climbing wall is open, and Wall Crawlers programming time will be focused on intentional instruction.

To participate in the Wall Crawlers program, the child must be within the ages of 7 and 17 and pay $30/ASU students and faculty; $50/community. Participants aged 7 through 11 do not need a climbing wall membership for themselves. However, the parent/legal guardian must have a climbing wall membership and must be present while their child/children are at Wall Crawlers. Participants ages 12-17 must have their own climbing wall membership. Each additional dependent child will receive a 20 percent discount on the cost of the Wall Crawlers Program. Children learn the necessary skills and fundamentals of climbing as members of Wall Crawlers.

The Wall Crawlers Program will be held through the semester on Mondays, at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesdays. At 4:15 p.m.
