Bonnstetter awarded fellowship
Adams State University Associate Professor of Mass Communication Beth Bonnstetter was recently selected as a 2014 Faculty Fellow by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
This fellowship, awarded to only 20 faculty members nationally each year, includes a week-long, fully paid-for intensive and immersive seminar on the television industry. "I'm hoping to bring back material to develop more classes here as well as industry contacts," Bonnstetter said.
While at the seminar, in Burbank, California, Bonnstetter hopes to establish contacts with industry professionals to then share with her Adams State students. "Even to bring back ideas for my students to be able to enter the television industry, would be great."
After the week of seminars, panels, and immersion in the television industry, Bonnstetter said she will incorporate the information into existing courses and ideally create a new class focusing on her knowledge gained from the experience. "It is an honor to be chosen for this fellowship."
