Grizzly football's "Blackout Night" will light up the sky

Adams State's first home football game of the season will conclude this Saturday, Sept. 17, with a ten-minute fireworks display at 10 p.m.

"We don't want our campus neighbors to become alarmed by the noise," said President David Svaldi. "This will be a brief celebration of our new stadium facility at Rex Field."

Adams State's first home football game on Sept. 17 will conclude with a fireworks finale.

The Grizzly football team hosts the 18th-ranked CSU-Pueblo Thunder Wolves at 7 p.m. In addition to the fireworks, presented by ASC Housing and Auxiliary Services, fans can enjoy pre- and post-game activities, including food vendors on the North Campus Green beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, $3 for children. There is no charge for Adams State Grizzly Club, Cub Club, and AS&F members, but the appropriate campus ID is required for entry.

Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game in support of the Grizzlies; special "Blackout Night" shirts can be purchased from the ASC women's basketball team for $10, and will be sold in the main lobby of Plachy Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. thru Friday, and during volleyball games on Thursday and Friday while supplies last.
