The Adams State University art students will host a Pop Up Exhibition, Threshold, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at 507 Bell Avenue (space adjacent to Main Copy Source) in Alamosa.

Artists featured include Lucie Olivas, Michael Rael, Andrew Rascon, Robert Gallegos, Irma Lucero, Russell Geminden, Cristalray Domingues, Brent Montoya, Morris Sowards, Daniel Parsons, and Milanyela Meza.

According to Olivas, there will be a multitude of spectacular pieces of artwork on display. Five Adams State University Art students have organized the exhibition which explores the theme of Place, be it literal, metaphorical, or another point in time. They have each invited another artist that works in the San Luis Valley to exhibit alongside them.

The exhibition will be open to the public for additional hours: 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. October 6 and October 13; 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. October 7 and October 14; 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. October 12.

The students appreciate the support of sponsors including Melanie Garcia-Vigil, Main Copy Source; Mrs. Rios Mexican/American Restaurant; and the Office of Title V Initiatives Research and Engagement Grant for sponsoring and supporting this event.
