We welcome our alumni, family, and friends to join us in Alamosa for Adams State University’s Homecoming Weekend. We are celebrating our place in the majestic San Luis Valley & all the individuals who make our community shine bright.

Alumni Awards – Seeking Nominations

Each year the Office of Alumni Relations seeks nominations to recognize honor the achievements of Adams State University graduates in four Alumni Award categories listed below. Alumni in any field of endeavor or professional are eligible. A committee of the Alumni Association will review nominations and select award recipients. The award recipients will be honored at Homecoming and must be present to receive the award. Please submit the appropriate nomination form with a letter explaining why you feel the nominee should be considered for the award. 

Nomination Forms

  • Outstanding Alumnus – honors individuals who exemplify dedication and distinguished merit within their chosen vocation or profession
  • Exceptional New Alumnus – honors individuals who received their bachelor’s degree within the last 10 years and demonstrates a potential for leadership, dedication, and excellence within their chosen vocation or profession
  • Family Tree Award – honors a family with 3 or more generations of Adams State graduates and a record of outstanding service to the university, alumni association, and community

Timeline 

Nominations will be accepted through April 30 for consideration in the current year’s awardee cohort. Recipients will be notified and confirmed no later than May 31st. The Alumni Association reserves the right to maintain nominations for future consideration for up to five years.
