High School Honor Choir Festival

 February 18-20, 2027

The Adams State University “Top of the Nation” Honor Choir Festival features some of the finest high school choral musicians in the Southwest and includes an auditioned Mixed Choir, and two director-recommended choirs (a Treble Choir and a Tenor/Bass Choir).

The event is held over a three-day period, beginning on Thursday morning and culminating in a concert on Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Tommy Ghent

Tommy Ghent is a multi-faceted music educator, conductor, performer, and composer, working with students from early ages into their collegiate studies. He directs bands, choirs, and theater productions with ensembles of all ages as well as private voice instruction. He holds a master’s degree in choral conducting and has directed and performed with ensembles all across Arkansas and beyond, including tours throughout the US and Europe. Tommy helped to establish the Arkansas Small Schools Honor Choir and holds active memberships with numerous professional organizations and committees.

While there is not a fee for registration and submitting auditions, there is a $45 fee for all students who are accepted to the festival.

Please make sure that all students are available during the dates of the honor choir festival before submitting applications.
