Ever wanted to go to school without the commitment to assignments, projects or tests? Want an opportunity to learn more about acting, anthropology, athletics, or advertising? Become better informed about your personal finances, marriage and families, or natural resources/water law for a minimal fee and no homework and exams. Adams State University offers continuing education classes designed for the lifelong learner.

Listening Classes

‘Listeners’ are expected to attend classes regularly and participate as the instructor sees fit.  ‘Listeners’ should meet with the instructor after the first class to discuss what this means for each class.  ‘Listeners’ will not complete assignments, homework or exams and will not be graded. Listening classes do not result in college credits.

• Low cost ($55 tuition + $17.80 tech fee) per credit hour of the class you want to audit plus applicable course specific fees for some courses.
• For community members, ASU employees, and students
• Attend lectures and participate in classes

• Not on a transcript -Wide variety of classes to choose from including classes on water studies, hands on studio art classes, public performance music classes, new special topics classes and more!

 Register: You will need to select the course that they would like to ‘listen’ to. You can go to view our online class schedule at https://wd.adams.edu/workday_web/public_schedule/ to see what courses are available and who the instructor is of each course. Once you select a course, you will need to reach out to the instructor to get permission to take it as a listening course. The instructor then needs to contact us letting us know that they give permission for the student to take the course as a listening course.

Adams State University, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations. These programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.
