Enrichment Opportunities

Ever wanted to go to school without the commitment to assignments, projects or tests? Want an opportunity to learn more about acting, anthropology, athletics, or advertising? Become better informed about your personal finances, marriage and families, or natural resources/water law for a minimal fee and no homework and exams. Adams State University offers continuing education classes designed for the lifelong learner.

Listening Classes

$50 Per Credit Hour

‘Listeners’ are expected to attend classes regularly and participate as the instructor sees fit.  ‘Listeners’ should meet with the instructor after the first class to discuss what this means for each class.  ‘Listeners’ will not complete assignments, homework or exams and will not be graded. Listening classes do not result in college credits.

Studio Classes

$100 Per Credit Hour plus Course Specific Fees

Participants in studio classes are expected to attend classes regularly. They will listen, learn and apply the techniques to make their own artwork.  Access to studio facilities outside of class time is at the discretion of the instructor. Studio participants will participate in class critiques and activities whenever possible but will recognize that the instructor must give priority to students taking the course for credit. Studio participants will not submit artwork to be graded and will not complete other assignments, homework or exams. No credit studio classes do not result in college credits.

Applied Classes

This partner offers a wide range of highly interactive courses that you can take entirely over the Internet. All of our courses are led by expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors. These online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and geared just for you. All courses are non-credit. Take a course in accounting, business, personal development, writing and more.

Career Development

Adams State University, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations. These programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.
