Summer Research Internship Program in Artificial Intelligence and Social and Emotional Robotics
Benefits to Students
Each of the students involved in the internship program
- Paid a rate of $15 per hour, 40 hours per week, for a period of 8 weeks
- Summer tuition waivers for 3 credit hours at the non-resident rateF
- Flat rate stipend of $1,000 provided as a summer housing allowance for two months
- Fall tuition waivers for 12 credit hours of STEM courses at the non-resident rate
Student lab tech support position:
- Rate of $15 per hour, 10 hours per week, 8 weeks for a total of $1,200
Central Goals of the Project
- provide a much needed research experience for undergraduate students from Adams State University
- increase the number of students pursuing and earning bachelors degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics
- advance and strengthen the department’s robotics and artificial intelligence offerings and programs
- further develop, enhance, and integrate the department’s research capabilities in artificial intelligence and robotics
