High School Honor Choir Festival

February 19-21, 2026

The Adams State University “Top of the Nation” Honor Choir Festival features some of the finest high school choral musicians in the Southwest and includes an auditioned Mixed Choir, and two director-recommended choirs (a Treble Choir and a Tenor/Bass Choir).

The event is held over a three-day period, beginning on Thursday morning and culminating in a concert on Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Reginal Wright

Reginal Wright is a renowned composer, conductor, and educator whose compositions blend melody, rhythm, and text into powerful musical narratives that engage both performers and listeners. An accomplished composer, his works are performed widely and cater to choirs of all levels—from beginning ensembles to advanced collegiate and professional groups. With over 25 years of experience, he has received numerous awards for his work in middle and high school education. While there is not a fee for registration and submitting auditions, there is a $40 fee for all students who are accepted to the festival.

Please make sure that all students are available during the dates of the honor choir festival before submitting applications.
