At their meeting on December 12, the Adams State University Board of Trustees recognized outgoing member Jonathan Marquez, appointed in 2021, and Duane Bussey, who served as chair of the board for two years. Bussey was appointed in 2022 and will continue to serve on the board.

The Adams State Board of Trustees members volunteer their time and expertise. President David Tandberg, Ph.D., appreciates Jonathan’s and Duane’s commitment to the University. “I value their experience and perspective when serving on the board of their alma mater. Although Jonathan’s term has ended, I know he will remain engaged and supportive. Duane has led the Board with intelligence and a positive attitude. We are fortunate he remains on the board.”

Thomas Kim, appointed in 2022, now serves as chair of the Board of Trustees. He is grateful for a smooth transition. “Duane provided steady leadership for the last couple of years, and he has made it easy for me to step in as chair. We will miss Jonathan’s outgoing personality and contributions as a dedicated board member.”
