Instructor of Distance Education George Ackerman, Ph.D., recently released a documentary, “Sharon’s Story: Parkinson’s Advocacy and Family,” which follows the journey of Dr. Ackerman’s mother, and his, as her caregiver.
The paper “On the Girth of Groups Acting on CAT(0) Cube Complexes” was published by Algebraic and Geometric Topology in September 2026. Assistant Professor of Mathematics Daniel Gulbrandsen, Ph.D., was a coauthor along with Arka Banerjee, Pratyush Mishra, and Prayagdeep Parija. In June 2026, Dr. Gulbrandsen presented research related to this paper at the 43rd annual Workshop in Geometric Topology.
Music Department Chair James M. Lind, D.M.A., has been contracted to be a featured soloist with the Pueblo Symphony. He will perform Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto, nicknamed the “New Year’s Concerto” at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2027, in Hoag Hall, located on the Colorado State University-Pueblo campus.
