Adams State hosts high school counselors

The Adams State University Admissions Office hosted high school counselors from the Front Range and across the state, on Monday, June 20. Colorado Council on High School and College Relations arranges for school counselors to tour college campuses through Keeping Options Open (KOO) Workshop.

According to Eric Carpio, Assistant VP of Student Services, the Adams State admissions team took the counselors on a tour of campus and showcased a few academic programs. "It is a wonderful opportunity for us," Carpio said. "Many of the participants had never been to Alamosa or Adams State before, so this was a great opportunity for counselors to experience the campus first hand."

Every summer KOO charters a bus which takes the counselors to regional campuses. This year, the bus came to the western region, including Adams State, Colorado Mesa University, and Fort Lewis College.
