Adams State spring semester filled with sounds of music

Every semester the Adams State University Department of Music features ensembles, choirs, recitals and extravaganzas, this spring the program will raise the roof with 23 scheduled concerts over the course of 12 weeks.

Students will premier original compositions; faculty will take a turn on stage in collaborations; and guest artists will delight audiences with their craft. Recitals will feature music students, who have dedicated years of study and practice to perfecting their instrument, and faculty, who along with classroom instruction and directing ensembles, continue to master their own musical talent.

Measures may fill the space, slowly increasing the beats as the rhythm begins to cascade down your spine enchanting your very soul to drink in the art of music. Let the magic of live performance smooth the wrinkles of your day and support Adams State students in pursuit of their dreams.

Events begin February 23, with guest marimba artist Christopher Wilson, and finish on May 20 with the SLV Symphony. For a complete schedule ASU Music Events Calendar.

For most concerts, admission is free to Friends of Music and members of Associated Students and Faculty; $1 for all other students; and $5 for general audiences. For more information contact the Music Department at 719-587-7621.
