ASU creative writing public read is April 30

Adams State University creative writing seniors, Jordan Shomaker and Erik "Erik the Destroyer" Winberg, will share their writings during the Capstone Reading Celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in McDaniel Hall room 101.

Shomaker said her writings and her journey "coming clean" is important to her.

Winberg said his work, "Here Be Dragons" is an assortment of nonfiction and poetry he has gathered throughout the last seven years he has been in Alamosa with six years of school and one off. "It deals with ’emotional dragons’ rather than actual mythical beasts, calling back to the Roman cartographers that would write that next to sketches of sea serpents signifying dangerous or unexplored territory."

Refreshments will be provided.
