ASU Faculty Collage Concert is September 24

The Adams State University Department of Music presents a Music Faculty Collage Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Leon Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Faculty performances will include William Lipke, piano; Tracy Doyle, flute; James Doyle, percussion; Shellie Beeman, lyric soprano; Angela Winter, horn; Lancer Hardy, bass; Roberto Capocchi, guitar; Alyssa Powell, clarinet; and featuring Matthew Schildt’s work Ascendance. Assisted by Becky Hand, piano, and Tyleen Stults, piano.

After the concert, there will be a reception for new and renewing Friends of Music members in the lobby of the Music Building. Friends of Music is a group of dedicated music lovers who provide much needed funds to support the musical arts in the San Luis Valley and educational opportunities for Adams State music students. In 2014-2015, Friends of Music helped provide music scholarships to music majors, brought guest artists to campus, supported student travel and opportunities for artistic and community outreach, and assisted in providing a vital and inspiring learning environment for music students.
